The sensor calibrates automatically during the first hour of use. Initial readings may fluctuate by +/- 10°F until the calibration process is fully complete.
Temp Stick works exclusively on standard 2.4GHz WiFi networks to ensure maximum signal range and reliability. It will not connect to 5GHz networks.
The Temp Stick requires two AA 1.5V batteries. Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are highly recommended, especially for use in freezers or extreme heat, as alkaline batteries cease to operate efficiently in extreme temperatures.
Remove the battery cover. While the device is on, hold the reset button until the red light turns on and blinks (about 5-6 seconds) to enter setup mode. Then, open the Temp Stick app, go to Sensors, select your device, and click 'Update WiFi' to follow the setup process.
Turn off the device (slide power switch to the left). Press and hold the reset button while turning the device back on. Keep holding the reset button until the LED light changes from red to blue, then back to a steady blinking red (about 30 seconds).
